Yarn Diet
I've decided to go on a yarn diet. Every time I lose ten lbs, I get to buy yarn. It is SO working. There have been several moments where a morsel of yumminess was getting ready to be eaten, and I thought," No, no, think about the yarn, think about the yarn!" And I resisted temptation.
I have my eye on some beautiful hand dyed super soft......excuse me while I wipe the drool from my chin. Anyway, I want to use the hand dyed to make a curly scarf that I saw at the yarn store. Dont ask me why, I don't ever wear scarves. But for some reason I keep making them. Speaking of the yarn store, I went there tonight for some much needed knitting and relaxation time. Baby D was my little hitchhiker, but he slept the whole time. A woman came in asking a question about the cabled baby sweater that I knit that is on display there. She had seen it and was inspired to make one herself. She needed help seaming it and figuring out how to put the pieces together. It was pretty cool that I happened to be there and was able to help. It's always nice to have someone appreciate your work. Sometimes it gets depressing to show hubby my latest project and hear, "Hmmmm..." I think we all need a fellow fiber fanatic who will yell "Yippee! Hooray! Zippidy Doo!" every once in a while for a little obsession validation.
