Something to do
I do not have much in the way of interesting craftiness to update you on. The shawl is progressing, and I only have about 23 more rows before it is done. But I seriously doubt you want to see another picture of a half done shawl that doesn't look all that much different than the last time you saw it. I know. YAWN. So to fight your boredom, I decided to give you a few links for sites that I go to when I feel like tinkering around online.
Post Secret-This is a blog where people send in confessions on the backs of artsy, imaginative postcards. Apparantly there is also a book.
Found Magazine-You know those odd scraps of paper with bizarre notes scrawled on them that you find in the parking lot, or at work? Here is where you can send the more interesting ones, and see what others have found.
Craftster-A crafting forum with great ideas and some of the most bizarre but inspiring crafts you will ever see.
Bloglines-If you are like me, and read tons of blogs every day, this is what you need. Register and add all of the blogs you love. Whenever you want to read blogs, you just go to this website, and you can read them all there. It also lets you know when each one has been updated, so no more going to a blog 5 days in a row with no new posts. In fact, you can add my blog with the handy dandy bloglines button I have on the sidebar. Go ahead! Click on it! You know you want to!
Mamarazzi- Like those trashy magazines that you see in the grocery store checkout aisle, but funnier! Devoted to bashing celebrity parenting.
You Knit What?-All of the patterns that make you cringe. The plumber and I spent an hour one night reading through the archives. There are some truly horrible patterns out there.
Of course, I always have some project or another occupying my thoughts. While I have been working on this shawl, I have see a few that I can't stop thinking about. There is a picture of an altoid tin tv dinner here -that I HAVE to make. I am slightly obsessed with it. Look at the little chicken legs! Hurry shawl, hurry! Get done so I can do something else!
