She held my sock!
The Yarn Harlot came to Anchorage tonight!
I had gotten my ticket several weeks ago, but have spent the last few days frantically looking for it. As the time got closer to leave for the bookstore, I still wasn't finding it, so I went anyway, hoping that someone would have an extra ticket and have pity on me. As luck would have it, I saw some of my friends from the LYS, and they had an extra ticket! The one I had gotten was for standing room only, but the one my friends gave me got me a seat in the 3rd row! Stephanie was awesome, and even showed off some of the air line stewardess moves that she has learned over the course of her travels.

I didn't have to wait too long to get my books signed, and she even took a picture with me.

I got to hold THE SOCK! And she held mine!
I'm never washing these socks again.
I was admiring the Ruth's Kauni Cardi that she was working on, and being the true yarn pusher that she is, she gave me the info on where to find the pattern and yarn.
I kind of sort of maybe ordered it a few minutes ago. Shh! Don't tell The Plumber!

SO COOL! It's awesome you still got to go. You know you'll probably find your ticket tomorrow stashed away in a "safe" place! :D

Wasn't it great. And she is so nice and talked with everyone. Your sock picture is great. I chose to hold her sweater in my hands and to feel the yarn!!! Lucky you to actually order the yarn. I can't wait to see it. I went to the site and did look at it and yearned for it. I even downloaded the pattern.but... $$$ are an issue right now. I'll just save up. The pattern does look easy put scarry... cut the yarn ..eeek .. to bad there isn't a knit-a-long. I'l be interested how everyone interprets the pattern. Have fun~~!!!!
